Making a Donation

1. In Memoriam Donations
With an “in memoriam donation”, the Maison Vale Inco Hospice will send a card to the family to notify them of your gift and will send you a tax receipt. While you honour your own special memories of a friend or a loved one, your gift will go on to provide comfort for many other residents and families in their time of need.

2. Planned or Deferred Giving
A planned gift is a special gift for the future, which provides a source of financial support for the Maison Vale Inco Hospice while also providing opportunities for individuals to achieve personal tax benefits. These gifts are arranged in the present, usually within an individual's estate or financial plan, but actualized at a later date. Examples of planned gifts include; bequests, life insurance, charitable gift annuities, and gifts of personal and real estate property.

3. Corporate Alliance Program
The support we receive from our friends in the corporate community is greatly appreciated. Corporate involvement is integral to the growth of the Maison Vale Inco Hospice. We are committed not only to developing and maintaining partnerships, but also to bringing the donors closer to residents who benefit from their generosity. There are several opportunities for corporate involvement. Please call to discuss an appropriate opportunity for your organization.

4. Events
Every year some of our friends in the community host events to benefit the Sudbury Hospice; these third party events are an important source of funds. If you are interested in hosting an event to support end-of-life care in the community, please contact our Executive Director at the Maison Vale Inco Hospice.

5. Monthly Giving
Monthly Giving is a way of maximizing your contributions to the Maison Vale Inco Hospice. Your regular, monthly gifts made through post dated cheques provide an anticipated stream of donations allowing us to fund our programs with certainty and giving us the ability to make commitments to projects that will have a long-term impact because we can rely on a regular monthly cash flow.

6. Workplace Giving

Matching Gifts
Your gifts to the Maison Vale Inco Hospice can be doubled or tripled if your employer has a matching gifts program. Check with your employee benefits office.

Through United Way/Centraide
You can make a contribution to the Maison Vale Inco Hospice at work through the United Way. Simply write in the Maison Vale Inco Hospice and our charitable number (89172 4874 RR0001) on the form provided by your payroll administrator. Your donation will be deducted from your paycheck.

7. Gifts in Kind
Gifts-in-kind involve the donation of personal and real property, goods or services in lieu of cash. As a registered charity, the Maison Vale Inco Hospice can issue tax receipts for the fair market value of these gifts. We keep a wish list of items and services that are needed. Please call the Executive Director for more information.

8. Gifts of Cash
A gift of cash immediately goes to work and can be designated for program operations or specific Maison Vale Inco Hospice projects. We can accept cash or cheque, by mail or in person to our address below.
